I just reviewed the photos so I think I have a better idea of what you are asking..
You plan to lower the bottom plate 1/4" while sitting on a metal frame I assume, so you want to bend it into shape before offering it to the aluminum frame to nail down.

Normally we use a regular 7 1/4 inch, 60-80 tooth carbide ski saw. Recommend two levels of eye protection, only when your head is so close to hot chips, safety goggles and face shield,
I didn't mean to be so wordy, but it's one of the most dangerous hull welding processes for building a hull, unless you drop it on someone when you roll it on Barry, #14 Commercial:

I don't think you are crazy at all, I live in East Texas and every once in a while I see homemade boats similar to your idea being used by commercial fishermen in Louisiana, so it's very realistic that you can do this project. All it will take is your time, $$$ and your labor = your custom boat that will be built to your specifications + the satisfaction/fun of building it yourself.
