Utility trailers are extraordinarily useful tools around the farm, homestead, or even urban dwelling. Trailers are usually made of heavy-duty angle iron, but their flooring is normally treated pine. Even though treated for exposure to the elements, these pine boards will eventually rot and weaken. Yes, local lumberyards or home improvement stores Sturdiness Lightweight only Minimal traction when wet/slipperyTreated pine is always a great choice for replacement boards. As long as the trailer isn't hauling steel tracked equipment, pressure treated pine is the cheapest entry on this list, easy to obtain and simple to install. Some boards may require cutting or tearing to fit, if so try buying from a lumber yard or home improvement store who can do this on the spot and pre-measure the necessary cuts. May be able to get locally from trailer dealers, if not online Sturdiness Medium to heavy traction Good even when wet
Rough Oak is a staple for heavy utility trailer rigs, and is a must-have minimum for trailers that will be moving heavy steel-treaded equipment. Oak is much more capable of taking a beating and a rough surface provides good traction even in wet or slippery environments. Strong, can handle steel tread vehicles

Rubberized wood, or black wood, is a more expensive option but much more durable and usable. If a utility trailer is used for professional-type lawn mowing or quite often on a homestead, farm, or ranch where it can haul self-contained equipment like skid steer loaders or tractors, it's likely a 'you get what you pay for' upgrade to consider. It's rare to find this type of flooring locally, but it can be ordered online custom-made to the trailer.

Using Green Ground Contact Treated Plywood For Trailer Deck?
I use 3/4" plywood with a smooth face and exterior glue spec, then you need to trim the outer edges down to 1/2" to go under the side rails. you then have a fully flat surface on the bottom to accommodate the metal frame, and a good thick 3/4" plywood surface.# Video | Trailer Decking Ideas

Enclosed Trailer Flooring?
I prepare to set up my trailer to transport the bike wondering what you all have on the ground. You want something on the plywood, think about painting it, but you want to keep it clean, you will always see tire marks on the paint. Thought diamond plate, but can be sharp or slippery if wet. Any ideas would be great, thanks guys.Utility Trailer Decking Ideas
Lightweight Decking For Small Utility Trailer?
I have a 4X8 HF trailer, I used pressure treated plywood for the decking and sides (I think the sides are about 34" high - I can post a picture tomorrow). I think it is hard to beat plywood for the decking, and if you're not too hung up on aerodynamics, it'll probably work well for the sides too.Snowmobile Trailer Decking Ideas
Trailer Deck Plywood
Below you will see an email I received from one of Triton's representatives."Thank you for your inquiry and for owning a Triton trailer. (1) You may have trouble finding 5/8" plywood as it is not very common. (2) Make sure it has "CCA" or less (industrial) grade processing. Most plywood found at your local supply sources is of a residential grade AC2 (Q) treatment which contains a high volume of copper azal, a type of pesticide. (3) Most local supply sources also only carry plywood sheets. Yellow pine is very soft, the edges will roll up and the boards will warp between the crossbeams in due time.
